My brother in-laws car got broken into on Wednesday night at around 11:20 pm in Skyview Ranch. He recorded part of the break in.If anyone recognizes who the person is or the car, please let me know or call CPS. The vehicle is a silver Volkswagon Golf, with a black hood and black rims, with tinted windows in the rear and tinted taillights. He heard them talking with each other and they are both Lebanese age ranging between 20-25. They also took the garage opener, insurance and registration along with the portable dvd player and some kids dvds. There will be a reward leading to the arrest of these scumbags..

I doubt the video is of much use, just too dark. How does your brother in law know the perps are Lebanese? I had a couple of friends in university who were right from Lebanon, I'd be hard pressed to know their country had I not known them.

Garage door opener $20
Paper work (all replaceable) $0
Portable DVD player $50
Kids DVDs $50

Am I missing something as the value seems off for the amount of work in tracking down the idiots? And why did they take a bunch of paperwork? You need to get the garage code changed now, they took the garage opener for a reason.... they'll be back. The car is very obvious, you'll have a lead in a short time.

So your bro in law speaks Arabic, I can see how he'd quickly figure this out.

From Wiki: Lebanese, like many other spoken Levantine varieties, exhibits a very different syllable structure from Modern Standard Arabic

You were targeted, you think a fellow Arabic speaker just happens to break into a garage and the owner understands the language? Perps are a friend of a friend. Was something of value supposed to be in the garage? Was there recently something of value in the garage or perhaps in the car?

Seems very odd, two guys from the same worldly area as your bro in law break into a garage and open the car door to steal nothing of real value. The risk v reward is just not there. Or you have missed something that they have stolen? Maybe they put a tracing device in the vehicle and took the items to cover up their real purpose? It just does not add up.... most certainly the police are thinking the same thing. I'm just speculating here, no figure pointing or anything.... just between periods on a hockey game. Done my useless CSI.

They were not asleep at the time. Heard something going on outside and thought nothing of it. The car has an alarm and it didn't go off. Next thing you know, he hears 2 people outside pretty close speaking Lebanese and hearing "hurry, get out" so he then picks up the phone and starts to record. By that time, the guys out the window and waiting to be picked up by the VW.

In the US OP coulda blown 'em away American History X style and carried on business as usual. Such scumbags deserve nothing less. Hopefully the cops catch em before they pick the wrong redneck's house.

Vehicle that alleged perpetrator crawls out of in OP's linked video doesn't appear to be a Golf or was the video of some other vehicle being broken into?

Disable your garage door motor, they will use the remote to open your garage and take what they can.

My dads bike was stolen this way...

Sorry to hear OP

The vehicle is a suv parked on the drive way. The vw golf was the get away vehicle.

most modern openers have a "lock" feature on the wall station press the button - remotes are disabled.

99% of openers, press and hold the button for 15 seconds to clear programmed remotes, verify all you still have access to are nfg (when not in lock mode) - then reprogram the remaining / keyless entry.
