A truck recently backed up into my car and one of the shops my insurance company recommends is Boyd Autobody.

Does anybody have any experience with this shop? If so, is the work decent or should I look somewhere else altogether?

IIRC They used to be service collisions which is pretty big. I have heard positive experiences when they were service collisions as I used to work beside their south body shop. Everything out of that shop was done quite well at that time.

If you're not at fault, take it to Maranello, end of story. Best in town, and you are guaranteed to have no additional fights/headaches which are so common in the industry. You don't have to use their recommended shops.

I just had my Optima repaired at the south shop. Nothing but good things to say about them. :)

Awesome, thanks guys. I am going in for an official estimate and then I guess I will decide from there. I will definitely take a look at Maranello!

Are you taking a Rhd car to Boyd?

No, it's a 2011 Kia. I'm not terribly worried about it. Fairly minor body work.
