No touch tire foam works great for engines.

^ +1. Clean, spray, blow dry.

It's not the best, but you can use Inside Out detail spray made by Car Brite. Most dealerships use it.

303 Aerospace Protectant is usually what I use on engine plastic and such.

Showroom = no shine. Just get some all purpose cleaner and clean all the oil/grime off all the plastics and blow dry it until the smooth, matte finish of the plastic comes back, that's the best looking way to present an engine bay.

Thanks for the help guys. I picked up a clean+shine degreaser spray from gunk. Hopefully that works.

Yeah I usually just use ZEP Citrus diluted 12:1 for engine bays unless it is really dirty then I step up my ratio accordingly. I like 303 as well because it leaves a matte finish as well.
