Last summer the M3 and GTR didn't get along so this year we will see if a GT3 can share the space :D

To answer some questions, ya the SUV idea got scrapped pretty quick :)

Wife still has a DD but occasionally she drives the M3 and I think she likes it, or at least tolerates it.

As far as I know coolant pipe has not been done, but will likely take care of it soon.

Also this is not Niel's car, pretty sure it is the only GT Silver car in Canada.

Anyways pretty excited about the car, makes the M3 feel luxurious, but feels like an absolute weapon!

Niel's is silver and local. He was selling it awhile ago and I was looking to buy it but decided against it for daily driving.

Nice purchase either way!

no track so it doesnt matter, last of the true GT3 cars and being a 3.8L going to be very desireable down the road.

I should have the esprit on the road in May, we'll have to go for a cruise some time.

So true, not the best road car in the world but so engaging that it is a lot of fun to just go for a drive.

Looking forward to seeing the Lotus again, ts been a few years since it has been on the road!

They are worlds appart. The GTR is an amazing piece of machinery but not very rewarding to drive. The GT3 really feels like it has soul and character which I really want in a car.

that and the grooves, track pads make those. track use isnt a bad thing, just make sure the maintenance matches.

You'd actually be surprised how streetable THAT car is, I flew down to check this car out for Erik and was very impressed with the previous owners setup. Spring rate is obviously not the 2500#/in units they were when raced...

Overall it's a very cool and unique car

Better hope a certain lady doesn't lurk your posts Erik. ;)

The plastic obscures the fact the body and paint are in fantastic shape for what is essentially a race car. Little bit of work though before she'll be allowed on the public streets legally.

In an effort to not completely derail the thread, the GT3 looks great Jason, thats my favorite colour, congrats.

It would be interesting to compare the F355 Challenge to the GT3. My gut says that even though the F355 Challenge was a former race car it probably can't keep up to the GT3. Performance and technology have come a long way in the last 15 years.

Having gotten a ride in the BS, how much more harsh is the ride going to be in the GT3 and 355 Challenge? It would be interesting to do a side by side by side comparison of all three.

Any 997 GT3 would easily outpace your car, let alone a 3.8 997.2 GT3. With the GMG exhaust sound would be impressive but not many cars sound better then a 355 with an exhaust, let alone one with 360 challenge headers and an exhaust...although I think Arlyn could vastly improve the exhaust on your car.

probably very similar in ride, this challenge isn't stiffly sprung at all, very similar to a stock one I would wager. I'd like to check out the BS closer as well, ran with him on a charity ride to Banff last year, pretty cool car for sure. Should have had a better look at it there...

The BS is less stiff than a C63 with the P30 package. When rage posted the statement of an "uncomfortable" track car, I asked him what the hell he was talking about. The BS is very comfortable.

haha I don't think you had enough time with the BS. It's comfy on Crowchild and Deerfoot, but drive around inner city it's pretty bad. Speed bumps, I find it unbearable at any speed. I made the mistake of driving it behind the Foothills hospital, where there's 1000 mini speedbumps, and it was unbearable.

We'll have to trade this summer too when your new ride shows up.
