I'm curious, what are your pre-game rituals or things that you do throughout the day of a big game, match, or competition?

I've found that, aside from preparation or practice for whatever task or competition lies ahead, the big pre-game poop is the best thing you can do.

Visualize all the things I'm going to do right, eat a nice light meal two hours before and sometimes use a bit of music but mostly visualization. Also, do some kind of heavy contact right before to get into the right mindframe.
If it's a really big game I'll hit the track that morning with a set of spikes and do a few hard 30m sprints to wake up my nervous system. If I've been using my spikes in training I'll go to the gym in the morning and do a few cleans or super heavy quarter squats. Doesn't always have an effect, but when it does it's awesome.

as mentioned take a good shit.
Then I typically throw my headphones in with some good music, take my hockey ball and stick to the corner of the rink and stick handle/ play around with the ball for about 10-15 mins, while taking deeps slow breaths, then tape my stick right there.
Get dressed, game time.
