I have an old (don't know what year) Giant ATX 870 that I want to get rid of. I don't even know the frame size but it looks to be around 19". My brother bought it used and the forks didn't work. He didn't ride it so I bought it off of him several years ago for $100 and had cheap forks put on. All the other components are likely original and very dated.
At this point, I just don't want to store it anymore and I won't be using it since I picked up a bike a few weeks ago (still haven't had a chance to ride it :( ).
Are there places that take bikes as donations and do they do it all the time or are there only certain days in the year?

Thanks for the suggestions.
swak,
Do the bikes have to be for kids, given that it's about a 19" frame?

As far as im aware, they get all sizes...
Bow fixes them up and donates them all.

Leave it in a bike rack at any school in the NE unlocked. It will be gone in an hour.

Hmmm...do the components still work, albeit old? I have a bike with similar components from the similar timeframe that I'm looking to put back into working condition. If you haven't given away the bike yet, I'm willing to buy the bike off of you for parts.
