Hey guys,
I am looking for a new watch(s) and have a budget of $1500.
It will be my first time straying away from the Nixon/ Vestal name and I am not sure what to buy.
I like big faced, Clean looking black watches.
Any suggestions?
Here's an example of what I like.

Calgary Jewellers had some really nice Hamiltons when I was searching last year for them. Rose gold mechanical style, larger faces. Right around your price range. I think they look great.

Oversized, Big Face, Black and under $1500.00 I'd suggest looking at U-Boats:

If you like the all black look, I'd recommend the BelowZero:

Pictured with a black rubber strap, but it comes with an extra black PVD steel strap as well.

Yeah, rubber strap, but damn cool: http://www.hamiltonwatch.com/en/gents/khaki/navy/belowzero-1000m-auto/H78585333
Another rubber strap but still really awesome. Not really the "clean" look you were going for lol

It will be hard to find "Quality", "All Black -incl. strap", and longevity of finish all in one product. The problem with a PVD finish on metal to make it look black is that it will wear off. They always wear.

I guess I should clarify why I don't like rubber straps... the watch just feel very unbalanced on my wrist! or is that something that would eventually become negligible as the band "breaks" in??

I didn't really know what to think about rubber straps, but I have a couple watches that I rotate straps on and the rubber is so comfortable.
Leather, is classier thgan stainless and IMO looks much better. I always hated leather until I started to wear them, again, so much more comfortable that a stainless strap.
That being said, this is an awesome watch for half of what you want to spend and you can buy a black stainless strap to go with it for under $100

Take your $1,500 and march on down to a high end Calgary watch seller, tell them you want to buy a lightly used watch. You'll get double the watch, this is what I did a few years ago at Brinkhaus, spent $1,200 and got a $3,000 plus watch. All their used stuff is cleaned, reconditioned and as good as new.

Since when did brinkhaus sell lightly used watches?
Must be something I missed when I went in
