My mother might be moving back to Calgary and she has late stage lung cancer...I'm thinking of having her live in an old folks' home since our house is really small and she can't live with dogs/cats and she really does need daily help from nurses soon, just wondering if any of you know of any good ones and how much they cost?

I was looking at this one since she's Chinese...

I'll call them first but just wanted to know if any of your have this experience and if you know of better places and yes...money is a big factor but I also don't want to stick her in one of these horror places you hear about on the news...

You may want to contact Transition Services or the Alberta government for more info.
If it's continuing care, Alberta Health Services does the referral after an assessment. Not sure if they would have involvement with supportive living.

The government does subsidize some of the costs.

From what I remember, Wing Kei is part of Bethany. And Bethany has a Chinese wing as well.
