I need to get some blasting done on my resto project in the next couple days. Probably just the edging/doors/etc, but if they're reasonable the whole thing.

Anyone know any companies/people that do this? Its an old 70's VW bus (see profile pic), and from what I've read, plastic bead blasting would be ideal since it has lots of big, flat panels that sand blasting would warp.

My car is un-driveable, so if they were mobile it would be a big bonus.

I know Consolidated Compressors does sand blasting and have a bead blasting cabinet, but I haven't been there in ages.

Consolidated will lift stuff off trailers for you and put it back on. $110/hr with a minimum of $25

I actually did some wheels at Consolidated a couple weeks ago. I think the DIY area is sand only though, and I'm worried about using that on panels.

I found a guy on kijiji that does dustless blasting, which after hours of google searching sounds like a good approach. They use recycled bottle glass, water, and a rust inhibitor, and it appears to work quite well. The big bonus is he's mobile, so I don't have to rent a truck/trailer.

Will post how it goes.
