Anyone here work at BBQ's Galore? I'm heading down there today to buy something.

I'm thinking Weber, any recommendations?

Just get whatever the top of the line Weber is, anything lower quality won't look good in your baller house

I got a Webber S330 as a gift and I think that Webber is over priced and over rated. I believe you're paying for the name. This damn BBQ retailed for $1200.00 at the home depot I would not pay a cent over $500.00 for it in hind sight as I see lots of other BBQ's that compare closely at this price point.

What ever you do end up buying, check for owner reviews online first.

That's way too big, I have a 5 burner right now and it's too big. Thinking a 3 burner is just right.

I've got a weber genesis and also feel it's a bit overpriced for what you get. The problem is, it's not easy to find something in the sub $1,500 range that is good quality.

I know brands like Vermont Castings used to be made in Canada/US and were good......but it seems like VC and other similar companies have all gone out of business and the brand name sold and started up again with questionable quality.

I'm not big on the stainless ones...

Maybe next year I'm gonna upgrade from the LPG version to the dual fuel version of this :)

I bought a Weber 2 years ago after having a $400 Home Depot special and I think the extra few hundred going for a Weber is worth it. Biggest difference I've noticed is the consisten temps across the grill.

I paid $749 for this one over 8 years ago. This pic was taken this year. It cooks :dunno:

How can a BBQ be too big? Do you not entertain or have friends?

Only so many people need a bbq that can cook 25 steaks. Also would consume a large amount of propane. Takes longer to heat up.

This. Anyone who says there are BBQ's sub $1000 that compare to the Weber Genesis series is crazy. The box is thick metal, holds heat better than anything in the price bracket. Broil King would be the next closest.

Vermont Casting is shit made in China with thin sheet metal.

Ducane is Weber's shitty brand and you see immediately in the materials.

Go with a Weber Genesis series, and decide if you need a sear burner (S330). If you want bigger, the S670.

89coupe, I bought the 320 in 2005, and it looks as good today as it did when it was brand new. I haven't had a lick of trouble with it BBQing year round. Consistent temps when it's summer to when it's winter. Cleanup on it super easy. Pretend it's a car. Wash & spray wax and it'll stay bright and shiny for years as well as being easier to clean.

I have the older model of this in copper. Still works like day 1 and looks great too. Just added a rotisserie a couple of weeks ago.

Any hot spots? I'm hoping not.
