So I'm guessing this is water damage. Left my iPod in my gym bag when I left the gym, I'm guessing the wet towel or sweaty shirt in there got some fluid into contact with my iPod touch. Seems to operate fine in terms of sound and functioning, and while I can see everything on the screen, there are clearly marks and streaks that look like they were caused by water. I will post pics in the morning when I have a chance, but if anyone has tips on how to fix the screen that would be great. Only had this thing for a few months and i'm pretty sure apple doesn't cover water damage.

Thanks to anyone with any tips

^ what he said. My phone had water damage three times. Just leave it in an air tight(zip lock) bag with uncooked rice for 24h while its off(as mentioned above). Also when you're closing the bag, try to squeeze as much air out as possible before sealing it.

Silica is even better than rice, and is also used as kitty litter, so you can buy a huge jug of it at Superstore for like $8 if you want to try that out too.
