All this really is, is the spotted thread turned into a blog.

I cannot masturbate to that. :thumbsdow

I shall now open up a new forum called above and beyond.

Winter beater footage?

I am sure we all seen that red ferrari in winter that one time.

Haven't seen R8s yet I do suppose my parkade has at least one guy driving his 997TT and I've seen a few Carrera 4's. And the white GT-R. Another time saw an Aston when it was nice out..

Hahaha yeah I guess winter beater footage is it.

Last winter every time I drove back from Sunshine or Louise, there was a R8 driving towards the Canmore area on highway 1 during winter.

Good for him..it's AWD , rear engine no different then a porsche really in the winter. I believe that the body is also aluminum.

The perfect high-end winter beater!!

Uh it's mid engined, and there's more to winter driving than just AWD (that's tuned for performance)... Like, oh, ride height.

Well, no one says you have to slam it...sorry the fact that it's mid engined is hardly a huge difference lol. And if your a downtown office worker, odds are you aren't monster trucking it through the really rough unplowed areas. :dunno:

If I can drive my RWD modified camaro through a Calgary winter (solid rear axle, 55/44 weight distribution, no sissy devices) an R8 should be toddler proof for winter driving.

check out my car.
It is very rare. Does that make it exotic? No. Rare, yes.

Only 136 evar made with this engine.
http://www.alpina-archive.com/?page_id=8910&nmt=Alpina-B6-2.8-Touring

276 if you count all the different engines, in a wagon (touring) configuration.

He is right about rare. Only 136 B6 2.8L Touring's were ever made. The Alpina Archive only lists 48 of the 136 made. Of those 48 listed, the one he posted pictures of (chassis #41) is the only one listed as being outside of Japan. Meaning it is the only E36 Alpina B6 Touring in Canada.

I had a spotted thread with video of a Ferrari FF I was driving beside last winter. Saw it twice.

Speaking of which I should post a pic from video of an SLS AMG I was behind for a while yesterday.

I've seen at least two. I think I had a spotted thread for one of them--dark blue or black.

One of the best sounding cars for sure.

That's winter driven?! I saw it when I was leaving the office on Thursday and he was going into the parkade. Hopefully he drives the GT some day this summer.

Too bad my card isn't good for the parkade level

You in Amec or Bayer?

I'm in AMEC.

Even if your card is good for the parkade, you won't be able to get into their car area!

Meh...nothing special....nothing luxurious about the cars that show there. You probably wouldn't want to go anyway as there are definately no SAAB's or luxury Mazdas.
