View Full Version : How to diagnose BSOD in Windows 7?

Since reformatting and installing windows 7 with some new software (Office 2013 and Endnote - I know there are compatability issues between these two programs), I've been getting BSOD.... I only get the BSOD when running a torrent client though (either utorrent or Vuze). I never had BSOD until this reformat last week.

I usually can't catch the blue screen to write down the error. Does anyone know how I can read that info once I reboot the machine? I tried googling for it, but the answer isn't jumping out at me.

I'm hoping this will identify what is causing my BSOD and then maybe I will realize i'm using an incorrect driver or something.

Thanks!

http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html

Once you have the stop code its usually pretty easy.

I ended up installing windows 7 debugging tools and was able to find the probelm. did some googling and updated my wireless lan adapter driver, hopefully that sorts it out!
