Anyone had slabs of concrete lifted before? If so, can you recommend who you used and what the results were afterwards? I'm concerned that the slabs will settle again. My property is 35 years now, so I'm guessing the settling is done.

What kind of area are you talking about?

Basement floor? Foundation? Other?

Check PM.

Where I work, Canwest was hired to mud jack a driveway. It was done only a couple of months ago so I can't comment on the longevity of the lift but it certainly leveled out the driveway.

Hope this helps ya.

Thanks, sorry for the vagueness of the first post. This is the concrete inside the garage floor, driveway, front walkway to the front steps and side of the house to the backyard.

What you are looking for is mudjacking. They drill holes into the concrete and pump some type of mix and then it lifts up.

Its quite pricey but way cheaper compared to re-doing the concrete. I looked into this when I bought my place and the driveway leading up the garage was a good 2-3" sunken.

Most estimates I got were ranging from $1800-2300 and that was just the driveway so un-sure what your estimate would be.

For small things like sidewalks you can DIY: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=31uSPxKmBFA

Bump. I need to lift the middle of my 2 lane drive way by maybe 2 inches or so. There's obvious settling and water pools there forming ice :thumbsdow

Am I still looking at this being a $2000 job? :(
