Hey Guys,

I want to do a grand canyon / hoover dam tour from vegas.

Do you have any sites you would recommend to book the tour through? Or any tour companies that are trust worthy and actually worthwhile?

Share your experiences please.

Thanks in advance!

We use Maverick tours through WestJet Vacations. You should be able to book direct with maverick in advance or in Vegas when you get there.

I was looking more for the Bus tours rather than helicopter.

Id def rent a car for a day and check out the hoover damn and drive to the grand canyon after.. its like $20/day to rent a car I think.. and you get to take your time...

I think a regular tour for both will be $150minimum? (It's like $80 to get to see the grand canyon)

Don't rent a low car, the road for the last 10KM to the grand canyon sucks...

Walk into the planet hollywood mall and go to one of the kiosks, ask to get a maverick helicopter tour of the grand canyon. My GF and I did it, and we ended up getting the guy down to $280/person. They pick you up from the hotel, drive you to their private strip and take you in on a very nice helicopter. They bring you right into the canyon and feed you champaign and crackers/cheese. I thought it was definately worth it.

Rent a car for hoover dam- its only 45min drive.

These type of trips for heli/bus tours to Grand Canyon can be found on travelzoo or other websites for much cheaper than anywhere in Vegas prices.

Picked up some Cirque tickets for Aria show for $60 less per ticket than those "discount" ticket places in/around the strip were offering. Great show and 8 rows back! Cant complain...

There were only 3 shows to choose from, Zumanity, Beatles, and Zarkana. I am assuming they are not as popular as other shows but its another $60 you can go drop on blackjack or whores.

Went and saw Zarkana, like i said great seats, nice theatre, cool show. Was first time so I didnt have a bar set.

I know you'll get a lot of restaurant recommendations BUT:

If you want A-class food for C-class price check out Ellis Island Casino and Restaurant (also a microbrew). The steaks are thick baseball cuts and ohhhh so tender. The strip steaks with eggs for breakfast is also so damn tender. $10 gets you a 20oz pint, house salad, big steak with mashed/baked/fries and green beans. MOFUGGIN DELISH. We ate there 4 times in 4 days, cant beat it (sign up for player card- free gambling money and deals on food!)

Also, for this delicious dish:

Find a Hash-a-go-go house restaurant, MOFUGGIN DELISH.
