Sorry if this is a dumb question.

If I have paid for renewed insurance, and later wish to get rid of the old car and buy another used car, do I have to pay all new insurance on the second car without getting any money back for unused insurance on the old car?

Thanks for any help.

:dunno:

no, call and cancel your insurance on the first car the day you sell it, you will get a refund for any unused days. Possibly minus a small fee.

No! Every thing is pro-rated for the time on risk.
You don't get charge a penalty unless your entire policy is cancelled.

Or...

Depending if you have the new car allready..

You can transfer your insurance to your new when you have it.

The credit goes to the new car, and depending on the policy, you pay the difference for next month.
