The nine-time World Rally Champion will tackle the Rocky Mountains in an attempt to beat the existing Pikes Peak ÒUnlimitedÓ category record of 9 minutes, 46.164 seconds.
The legendary Colorado course features 156 wrist-sapping bends winding up the 12-mile route towards the 14,000 feet high finish line. Loeb will be behind the wheel of the one ton, 875bhp, four-wheel drive beast created by Peugeot specifically for the challenge.
