I like the heading in some of the articles..

Some Prick Covered His Ferrari in Black Velvet

This is really a thing. A Ferrari 599 was spotted in London that upped the ante for automotive ostentation. Some asshole covered the $300,000 supercar with black velvet, which the Daily Mail estimates would have cost another $7,600.

Sadly, this isn't the first car we've seen covered with expensive fabric. A Porsche Panamera was also seen in London with a similar wrap. The Game was seen with a Ferrari F430 wrapped in leather. We sincerely hope this isn't the beginning of a new trend. What's next? Silk? Cashmere? Japanese raw denim? We should probably stop listing these off before somebody takes the ideas to heart.

Whenever I describe this kind of car I always pronounce the word "gaudy" with emphasis on the "u"; as in "Saudi".

Obviously I'm not a fan of what he did, but I fail to see how this guy is a "prick" and a "asshole". All he did was wrap his car with velvet.

I clearly don't know your definition of baller. A baller is typically in the NBA if we want to get technical..

What a ridiculous waste of money.... Fucking christ....

The cars look beyond horrendous now, but sure let's all pay numerous thousands to make a vehicle look terrible, and add significantly to the maintenance aspect of keeping it clean.

Sheer brilliance.

It's his money, he can do what he wants with it. I would prefer it without, he prefers it with, life goes on.

How do you get that to adhere long-term? Sand the piss out of the car and use a crap load of 3m Super 77, lol?

Watching one of the installation videos, it is applied just like any other wrap or 3M.
