Is there anyone on here that knows how to build networks using packet tracer? I have some basic parameters that I'd like to see functioning, so I can reference back on them later without relying on YouTube vids. PM me.

Cisco Packet Tracer?

Yeah I know how to use it - its pretty simple but I would suggest using gns3 if you are trying to mock up network stuff.

If it's just simple shit then you'll spend more time setting up GNS3 than it'll take to complete the work in Packet Tracer.

Cisco packet tracer is super easy. You just drag and drop stuff. Just download it and start playing with it. It's pretty idiot proof if you know even a little bit about networking.

I can drag and drop some stuff and get very basic things connected but setting up stuff like static IP's, FTP's and that are totally over my head. I found some Cisco practice exercises for Packet Tracer that appear to be decent examples of what I'd like to see working. I just need to see a functional working example with a variety of connections and parameters that I can look back on as a reference. If anyone wants to give it a shot PM me please.
