If the wife decides to trick me into a 3rd kid, we're gonna need some space.

Minivans are out (she hates them too). So I'm looking at large crossovers, mostly.

But the QX56 has become an interesting option. Body on frame, but it sounds refined. I think infiniti sells about six of these in Canada for a year.

I haven't done much research on how easy they are to import, but it doesn't look too difficult.

However, if a good deal in Canada can be found, I'd consider skipping my usual trip to the states for a car.

I do know a guy, Steve there, I have PDed you his email address. No idea if they can come even close to USA pricing, as I've never asked that question.

One thing to consider is warranty, I have no idea how Infinity plays it, but some manufacturers don't like to do warranty work for a car purchased out of country.

Good luck with your purchase.

Thanks, I will give him a call.

As far as I can tell, Infiniti is really lax on the warranty issue. I think they even let you import NEW cars.

A friend of mine is the sales manager there. Would you like his contact information?

Does Hyatt Infinity still have their hilarious "no haggle" BS policy? Totally turned me off of that dealership, walked away from two separate sales there in the past years.

They haggled with me when I bought my dad a g37 sedan a month or so ago. Granted it was only for like a grand and not several thousand :dunno:

Had many bad service experiences there and my dad got dicked around on warranty issues because of technicalities (rust related).

But his last infiniti made it almost 350k kms before being totalled, and his nissan before that got to almost 400k kms, so if you want one there's only 1 game in town really :dunno:
