Does anyone know anything about this?
I need to get certified so I can keep/legally do my job.

I know U of C offers a "Basic Bike Mechanic" course for $130.

Does anyone know if this is what I should be looking for? I need something that gives me a certificate at the end of it all.

Does anyone else offer a course like this, as I am really opposed to giving any money to the U of C.

Hahaha its not a matter of not knowing what I am doing.
Pretty simple shit..
The problem is if some kid jumps his bike, the rear wheel pops off and he breaks his neck, after I had worked on his bike.

Its all about the liability.

yeah, I did that for my Ski tech cert. so that if shit head busts his knee cause his binding didn't release I'm safe.

Never did it for Bike tech however.

Wasn't required at the time.

I think we are required to have 1 certified tech, and since Audi Kid is gone now, someone else needs it.

You still have a cert'd tech there, but who knows for how long :D
BTW I got mine at Bow Cycle years back, 2 week course for 2 hours a day. Maybe give them a shot D.
