I recently got into a low speed collision and my trunk was slightly damaged. I was looking into ordering an Amuse Ericsson style trunk from Modbargains.

Just curious to see if any board members have ordered off this site?

If so, was the product quality good?

Thanks in advance!

Looking at the reviews on E90post, I would stay FAR away.

They have even been blacklisted on E90post. Whenever you write Modbargains, it turns it to a bunch of asterisks *******.

Here's ONE of many threads

I'm pretty sure my dad spent over $9000 with them on the S/C kit for his Z4M, he had problems with the actual manufacture and software but no problems with modbargains themselves as a company.

Just reading through those posts and I guess they were caught with credit card fraud.

Damnit!

Isn't there another company out there? BME or EMS or something like that. Can't wait to see your car when it's done.

IDK, on zpost.com (way back when I had my z4) a LOT of people had wicked luck with them. Just like Urban Expressions or Minute Muffler (on 32nd) on here. :dunno: like most companies you may have some bad reviews. I've never pulled the trigger myself to order anything from them, but those that had on the bimmerpost forums have, and they were all super happy.

I'll chime in here, I was about to pull the trigger and buy a set of wheels off their site but i found their customer service but ultimately I was put off by their inability to accomodate to the customer.

First off, It was a big order and i would be spending around ~$5000 from them. Talking to their customer rep they weren't able to accept ANY form of payment from Canadian customers other than money wire transfer which i found incredibly ridiciulous being it's an e-commerce site.

Other than that, like most US sites you'll have to arrange for your own shipping method but overall i was put off from giving them my money as they weren't flexible enough to accept other forms of payment such as paypal etc.

I don't recall reading any bad reviews when I used to go on E46Fanatics.com, they were a sponsor there too. I used to order all my BMW parts from ECStuning.com, Bimmian.com, and Bimmerspecialists.ca (for OEM stuff).

I have personally bought wheels, lights, etc from them. Everything went smooth.

Forgot to mention. DO NOT BUY from Umnitza at http://www.umnitza.com , shitty customer service, slow response times, slow shipping, and messes up orders.

I ordered two sets of angel eyes and one set of angel eye LED for an E90. They fucked ALL THREE SEPARATE orders. The first time they messed up , they sent me angel eye Halos for some motorcycle. Second time they send me some 5 series angels that won't fit my X. Third time they again sent the wrong LED halo modules and didn't fit my E90 (seriously pissed this time). To top it off, every time they mess up I paid return shipping and did not get reimbursed one cent back and they waste like a whole month and a half of my time. I would recommend anyone to stay FAR FAR away from them, NEVER again.

Maybe if you weren't such a slow learner, they would have only pissed you off once :dunno:

They're a bunch of crooks. They never show cut-off
s of their "projectorxx" series of headlights, which are actually just DEPO lights that they "change the angel eyes out and all this stuff they really don't do".

Junk products

You know what, I gave them the benefit of the doubt that human beings make mistakes. Does it really matter that they fucked me over three times? No, it's the fact that I can vouch that they messed up three times on three separate orders within a span of two years. This is what I'm trying to warn people of.

Your post is very contributing.
