I was just wondering, does wd40 get rid of rust? my shock perches are kinda getting some rust on them, and want to know if it would be a bad idea spraying wd40 on them?

wd40 penetrates rust, making it easier for you to free rusty parts.
it also does plenty of other shit, it will help prevent your perches from getting more rusted, but it doesn't stay on, it washs off really easily. so you might wana try something that kinda paints on.

well, it'll penetrate the rust thats on there right now, then it will make it easier for the rust to progress.

best to either cut it out or get some rust converter.

WD-40 is a petroleum product that doesn't condone rust, so at worst, it'll slow it down, not make it go faster.
