WTB: Somewhat fun daily driver

Hey beyond!
Looking for a reasonably daily driver/winter car.
Something along the lines of a jetta, gti, passat, tsx, tl etc.
Sedans and wagons are preferred but anything else will be considered.
Japanese and euro only please.
Manual preferred but not a requirement, diesel is ok (think VW diesel)
Looking to spend a maximum of $10 000 but may come up a bit for the right car!
