For Sale is my 2006 Honda Ridgeline EX-L Package, fully loaded. I have owned this vehicle since August 2012
First up, the truck had an engine replacement last December for a 140,000km lump from a rear end write-off Ridgeline. The original engine melted an ignition coil in cylinder 5 and destroyed most of the engine. It was more economical for me to find a replacement reconditioned engine than to rebuild the original. The work was performed by Dandy Automotive in Airdrie, AB and I have all the receipts and history to prove. I've done around 10,000 trouble free kilometers since then.
The body itself is on 282,xxx at the time of writing...this will slowly increase as it is my daily driver, but most of my mileage is highway (live in Calgary and work in Airdrie)
The truck is in relatively good condition for the age and mileage.
Good Points:
Full leather interior, heated electric seats.
Power everything (seats, mirrors, windows etc)
Tow package with Class IV receiver hitch
2 sets of alloy wheels (new 20" summer wheels with new tires, covered less than 2000km)(OEM 17" winter wheels with used winter tires, one season left on them)
Recent oil and filter change (July 2013)
All belts and fluids changed when recon'd engine was installed
Brake rotors and pads changed in April 2013
Upgraded stereo system with iPod ready Alpine deck and OEM subwoofer
OEM hard dual fold tonneau cover
window visors
bug deflector
running boards/side steps
Fatbobs 2" lift/level kit (not fitted yet)
garaged over winter, it fits in my single garage with room for my motorcyle and 2 sets of hockey gear laid out on clothes-racks
Bad Points:
Some rock chips concurrent with mileage (the joys of living in Alberta)
minor hail damage on hood and roof, but nothing too noticeable
some scuffs on the rear bumper from the parking lot
cracked windshield (which I plan on replacing before sale)
rust bubble at fuel cap, not yet through paint and i have treated it with some anti-corrosion formula
some peeling of paint coating on the n/s running board
All in all, this would make an excellent daily driver for someone who would like the space and practicality of a truck, but doesn't want to sacrifice the comfort that is offered by an SUV chassis and the great gas mileage. When driven properly, this truck will return average 11l/100km, i've had it down as low as 10.4 on a run out to BC and i'm sure i could get it even better if i REALLY tried (don't believe me, look at my fuelly (http://www.fuelly.com/driver/haggis88)
I've used the truck to tow my motorcycle and it performed flawlessly. It has also done multiple IKEA runs to collect things for friends/colleauges and I've moved house myself in it. One of my favourite features is the concealed trunk area in the truck bed which is great for holding tools and even groceries.
Willing to remove wheels/deck/lift kit to lower price
I am NOT looking for any trades, so please don't ask. Lowballers will be met with either a sarcastic reply or will be ignored completely.
Test drives available with me driving, you will not be getting the keys without paying me in full.
