I had my big scary zoom lens so they assumed I was media and more or less let me do what I wanted, I spent most of my time up by the stage...they even kept people out of the way for me for a bit so I could get some good shots.

Hehe the lighting over where she was had to be the worst in the whole place. I'm a perfectionist with the pictures I post..haha it was a stretch for me to even post this one of her given that it's so blurry and grainy! But i'll see if I can dig up one or 2 more good ones for you :)

See, ultimatly a tripod is useless at that show. I brought mine but never used it. I had a steady enough hand to get the cars without a flash and have them come out perfectly clear, and for the celebs, they were never still long enough to allow a tripod to do you any good anyways. Just make sure the security people see your big cam and they let you get nice and close. They did that for me for the fashion show and both Mr Brant and Mr Troyer. The lights were also brutal for skin complexion. oh well.

Actually I used my tripod for the entire show. Often enough I used it as a monopod but I still used it...for Troyer I used my tripod the whole time and is probably the reason why I got the pictures I did of him. I *%&# HATE the roundup center lighting, it freakin sucks that so many car shows happen there! Haha and there was no crush on Mini Me, just a lot more better pictures. Almost every one of my pictures of him turned out, vs very few for stacy. I didnt want to blind the celebs with flash 30 times so I made due with availible lighting.
