Surprised the thread doesn't exist already.

Anyone watching this? I haven't started yet.

Actually started watching this a few days ago, and I like it.
A friend said the books are much better than the show, but that's usually the norm.
I don't know why, but for some reason this show reminds me of Lost.

This is the shittiest show I've seen in a while. The acting is horrific. Just seriously brutal.

The GF wanted me to watch it. Lasted 15 minutes and was all "noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooope".

Like it better than Walking Dead.

But, that doesn't say much.

Watched the first couple episodes and gave it up. Like most Stephen King projects it seems to be going no where slowly.

Yeah me and the wife gave it 1.5 episodes and gave up. Usually every pilot to every show is a bit off, but the 2nd episode was worse than the first so we just gave up.

I thought the book was incredible. I remember thinking they could make it a movie while I read it. The TV show does not hold up at all, which follows suit with most of Kings work adapted to the screen.

I'm watching it more for the fact there is not much going on entertainment wise, but it's a meh.

I read the book very quickly hoping it would go somewhere, instead I felt like i wasted my life reading it. It was a genuine WTF moment when it was done.

I hate-watched it for awhile hoping it would get better, but never happened. I thought it would at least be interesting to see how the whole situation plays out and resolves, but since it's been renewed for a second season, it tells me that nothing will get resolved this year.

I read the entire synopsis on Wikipedia, and 'interesting' is one way to describe the ending.

The book was amazing. The show is barely watchable. Some of the most powerful characters in the book (Jr. and Sr. Rennie) are a joke on the show. They really missed the power and emotion that the book had.
