Anyone know if any car rental agencies in the city offer these cars? I called a few places but no luck...

My brother works for Avis, and Ford actually sent them six or eight Mustang GT's in Manual Transmission. He hooned one around the parking lot, and then sent the whole bunch back. It's not worth the hassle to try to have manual transmsssions mixed up in the fleet.

Why would Ford ship cars that franchisee doesn't want? Seems like a waste of transport costs.

Do they go to local dealers afterwards?

I have to assume it's not part of some grand strategy, but an error by either ford or Avis. I don't know the details of this case, I was just trying to point out that Avis WILL NOT stock these in thier fleet, even if they happen to get some.

You can try Shaw rentals & Leasing for the Camaro SS. Im quite sure if you do land one, it'll be automatic only. Its a very unwise idea to let the public rent cars with manual transmissions.
