Health & Safety Administrator

Hi,

I am looking to begin a career in Occupational Health & Safety and have a few questions for anyone who may be in this field.

I have Been an Electrical Apprentice for about a year now and have no prior "Field" experience. I am enrolled in the Health & Safety Administrator program through the Alberta Construction Safety Association, which is meant for someone who does not have 3 years Field experience such as myself.

Once I complete the program what kind of Entry Level jobs should I be looking for?

Will my Bachelors degree in Business Administration emphasizing in Finance benefit me when looking for entry level safety Jobs?

What kind of Salary can be expected for someone entering this field with no experience?

Do you suggest I enroll in a OH&S certificate/diploma program right away or suggest I gain some experience first?

Any other Insight/tips/advice?
