hehe the article talks about how we don't like the East, and the Liberals. How much has changed in 20 years lol.

We should try to take pictures from the same locations, to see how much has changed in 20 years.

Awesome, haha where does he store them all? It's a shame Canada doesn't make the pages of National geographic more often. Iv'e got the sports illustrated from the 88 olympics back in red deer, ill have to post that article too when I get back home

Yea a few of those multicoloured houses are still around on memorial. I remember seeing those teepee houses but can't remember where exactly. Anyone remember where those used to be?

Edit: Oops...just realized I bumped a 5 year old thread. Someone posted it on the "What was the previous name of _________" thread...

I think the biggest difference is the west end of the core, if you notice there arent any of those modern condo high rises.

^ Yeah, plus the only building taller than the Calgary Tower at the time was the Petro-Canada Tower.

Cool to see the changes that have taken place in 25 years.

Excellent Bump! I was 8 as well then.

Pretty cool how there were Horses in fields that close to the downtown core back then. (other than Stampede grounds of course)
