Who will be their top driver?

That's the rumour, and it may well be true. However, there is no official announcement as of yet.

I say put them to the track and see who comes out on top! Most epic duel ever!!

I bet Alonso will be the top driver just based on seniority.

Thats a loaded gun. The reasons he left Ferrari were extremely complicated but in the end boiled down to the major sponsors wanting their own countryman, rather than a fast driver.

Alonso won't let Hamilton part 2 happen.
Alonso will demand to be #1, and this time Ferrari will give him the equipment and give Kimi his ice cream.

Shopping or being shopped at the moment.

I don't believe Kimi would join a team to be a number two. :dunno: If they can make it work though, it will be a good show. Wonder how will they arrange the slingshot at Monza now? Well It's not like it worked last time lol.

I'm a little disappointed that he's gone back to Ferrari, but I suppose there's no point in being a race car driver if you don't want to win (and know that you can) and then making the decisions to accomplish that.

Let's hope for an epic rivalry! RBR should be concerned too, especially if Ferrari has a well-sorted car... :burnout:

Ferrari have made Raikkonen a rich man. Rumours have it that Ferrari could quite possibly have the best Turbo/KERS package on the grid next season. That combined with less aero regulations and two of the best drivers in the world it wouldn't surprise me to see the prancing horse as constructors champion in 2014.

+1, I posted that this would happen in the thread about driver changes months ago. This is my absolute dream team! Love to see a good rivalry in the team.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

I think he'll get better treatment at Ferrari than he would have at RBR, but I still think he's going to be a behind-the-scenes #2 barring catastrophe for Alonso.

Tweet from the Lotus F1 Team:

So #Kimi is off to #Ferrari for 2014; it hurts a little bit… #F1 #Raikkonen

Guess Nico Hulkenberg will have to wait a little while longer to go to Ferrari!

Lotus are definitely going to be hurting. I can't see who they would get to fill Kimi's shoes.. Massa?

Was hoping for Montoya but he just signed with Penske to do Indycar in 2014. ;)

Oh man, maybe Schumacher and Mika Hakkinen can drive for Lotus next year.

Looks like Massa has been negotiating with Lotus, and has also spoken with Mclaren

Ruebens back would be awesome, he hinted a year ago that he'd try to come back. But he also stated that he thinks Massa should go to Lotus

Sensational article:

Asked if he wanted the double world champion, McLaren team boss Martin Whitmarsh said: "Yes, any team would. He's the best driver." According to the journalist, every team is trying to pick up Alonso.
