Aquird a 89 Volvo 240... Looking at getting some parts to start off my DD build!!

Need to know best/cheapest place for springs/struts
Also been looking for wheels does anybody know what sort these are? Obviously steelies just didn't know they had deep dish ones? Volvo has a weird 5x108 pattern so finding wheels is tough dont want to go over 16s

Anyways it's going to need some struts after winter either way I'm just wondering what most of the guys with even vw's do in this sense? Cut stock springs? Get springs for the car?

The only place online I can really find is horsepowerfreaks.com for parts seems like the 240 is a tougher one to find parts for.

Also.... I obviously need to locate a roof rack lol so if anybody knows where to find a dirt cheap one I can put on the car also that would be sweet haha

Any help is appreciated!

EDIT: also remember reading somewhere that some older BMW parts are interchangeable... Can anybody confirm this?

best source for parts I found to be ipdusa.com
They will ship to Canada and are located in Portland, OR.

I bet those steel wheels are custom, and have been re barreled in a sort of Frankenstein fashion.

they could also be diamond racing steel wheels where they will custom make steel wheels in any size or offset

I have no idea what the bolt pattern is in a Land Rover (I think it's 5x6.5) but if you're willing to part those steelies, I'll buy em. ;)

Oh wow, I'll leave my post so you guys can laugh. Didnt bother reading the post date or shlade's comment. FAIL!

As mentioned ipdusa is a good source for parts. Also I used to order from fcpgroton.com which I believe has become fcpeuro.com . Fcp can be a bit cheaper than ipd (at least it used to be)

Those are definitely just custom steelies. See below for examples:

Be sure to get on calgaryvolvoclub.com. There are a bunch of great guys on there. Super knowledgeable and a couple of them used to do some pretty serious custom part fabrication.

FCP Euro is definitely more affordable than IPD.

Calgary Volvo Club is awesome! That's where I bought my third row from. Very helpful group of people.
