What a terrible listing. You'd think someone who could afford that place could afford a good agent.

That suite has 10x the SQFT my condo has and the condo fees are 15x higher than mine.

At least you get a pool and concierge service :nut:

Fuck, for that price, I want my pipes cleaned as well....

should have got those guys from Million Dollar Listing New York. They have some pretty innovating ways of selling high end real estate. Calgary is pretty primitive compared to those high end markets in terms of listings.

What cost difference is there between agents that makes it a matter of "affording"? Commissions are standardized... Unless ol' Jimbo dropped his commission (and to his knees) to get the listing.

Needs a Breaking Bad money-bed for it to be worthwhile buying.

If i could afford 5.8 million, i wouldn't be living in Calgary that's for sure.

I'd probably buy a house in Cuba and go there every winter. During Summer i would live somewhere in BC and live off my interest.

I can understand a high price because of the view, and the inside is pretty nice (though is dated as said), BUT, for 5.8 mill, it has a patio no bigger than what 500g gets you, lol.

I'd take this one for 5.2 long before the other.

^^ But it's view is far from best in the city...

I actually kinda like it - needs updating but nothing serious, and looks like it'd be a wicked place to entertain. No chance in hell I'd spend 6 mil on a fuckin party house though.

Edit: also what's up with that tv in the bathroom? It isn't even pointed at the tub OR shower, what good does that do?

You don't understand, you are so rich that you don't mind wasting $5.8M in Calgary since you have to spend time here anyway. :)

I gotta wonder if these penthouses ended up as high end executive rentals.

yea that place was straight up junk, minus the views.
that 2nd bedroom was useless
and I mean come on, the steam shower in my basement is better looking, and better laid out then that one.

Because it's the only available wallspace, and you could definitely watch it from the tub, in the mirror

This one though! Still a little dated but not bad, and totally worth it for those patios.

That one is worth the price it's asking for.

Where can I buy a condo in calgary for 500k and get "3 separate balconies, and a spectacular 1970 square foot roof top patio."

Read the listing....

My bad, didn't read it, but it has all that and the realtor only shows two pics of the same tiny patio? Lol. Remind me not to hire that realtor, ever.

If you're a big family, that's great. Otherwise, that's too huge.
