I have a 1970 Ford Maverick, with a 200 Ford 6cylinder engine under the hood, I have a craze for power, and was wanting to know if anyone has or is there a way to really kcik up the horsepower, it being an old motor, it has no computer, and is unable to be chipped. See...I was thinking of putting a V8; I believe, 1976 Ford 390 into it...but it would be a very tight sqeeze....leaving no room for headers...Help.!I need guidance on juicing a 200 Ford 6cyclinder!:banghead:

:hitit: That's great.
In grave need of help,

I would go the V8 route. Ford manufactured a model called the Maverick Grabber. These came stock with a V8 (i.e. 302). I'm thinking that it wouldn't be to hard to bolt in being that it was a factory option. These Grabbers are rare cars. They came with dual low profile hood scoops on either side of the hood - looked kinda neat. The Maverick is quite a light car as well so it wouldn't take much to get the thing to run pretty fast!
