too bad his legacy didn't last...

Toyota makes garbage cars now.
Went into their showroom about 3 weeks ago. Never go back.

... pretty sure his legacy did last... last time I checked Toyota was still right up there near the top for quality.

Last time I checked Toyota was either the #1 OR #2 automaker as well.

They make boring cars, which are completely different from garbage cars.

What a silly comment.

oh I could... but my house is very close to being paid for

i'd rather that, than carry your tdsr :)

When it comes down to it, Toyota has had some legendary cars

I'd almost put a Supra, MR2 turbo, Celica turbo 4wd, about as class leading and motorsports oriented as any offering from BMW's M class

also Lexus is toyota, the LFA is probably the most advanced hypercar

I'd also add the pickup/Hilux and Land Cruisers in that list, truly awesome trucks. If they're good enough for the Taliban, then they're good enough for me.

I'd rather put that kind of money into a house and not a car that will only depreciate.....and they say rich people are smart.

Rich people ARE smart, but people who put all thier money into depreceiating assets are neither smart nor rich.

Anyway, another impressive derailment by some of the most notorious members of this little band of miscreants.

oh shit yea... Taco/Hilux with solid front axel's made by asin, solid diesel engines, solid engines period...

Landcruisers since the FJ40 -> LJ -> HJ -> BJ more solid than any truck offering from the domestics

the LFA may not be the fastest car, but for what it is... it must be the most advance technologically...

Lets not forget the Lexus LS which completely changed the luxury car market.

not sure about that...

but value for dollar, the first and 2nd gen LS were good for the money

I didn't like the old LS as nice as my dad's old 740IL, or my buddy's Dad's S430 but I think from a price point perspective, it was a much better value

Look into the development background of the ls and how it affected the other brands.
You might not have liked it but it had a large Impact

still mostly because the price point was so much more competitive...

not quite the case anymore now that they've really developed their goodwill

As in quality and perfection.

But Lexus and Toyota in general lacks passion. Lucky LFA and FRS injected some of those back into the brand.

I agree with this, although modded my mr2 is still one of the best cars I've ever driven (in terms of fun to drive).. and I've driven a lot of cars.
