How about the opposite of this? I'm going to Texas tomorrow and was asked to bring some only found in Canada foods/snacks. Any ideas for what to bring?

we have dill pickles chips all over the place in the US. they've been around since I can first remember flavored chips (early 80s). but yea, definitely ketchup or (better yet) all dressed (sometimes you can buy ketchup in the states, but definitely not all dressed)

Asked my friends in Texas and they had never heard of dill pickle chips so it was a safe bet. Totally forgot about all dressed though!

Good news is I now have a big empty bag to fill with US snacks. Perfect.

that's crazy as dill pickle is literally one of the top 4 or 5 chip flavors in the US (including Texas). Should've went for the Ketchup and All Dressed! When I first moved to Canada, the All Dressed totally blew my mind! It took me a while to just wrap my head around the name, and then even more to figure out wtf it was!

The Buffalo Wild Wings in Oklahoma was serving Poutine before I moved to Calgary in Mid September. I actually went to BWW in Calgary when I was here Sep 3rd or so. Went back home to see friends before moving back this way. We went to BWW to watch football and lo and behold Poutine in Oklahoma. It was horrible but at least they are trying.

PS the big thing(s) I miss from Oklahoma since I moved here.
Good Mexican food.

Poutine is not cheese on french fries with gravy. If they used cheese curds, I'd be impressed.

The one here used Cheese Curds. I couldn't tell if it was cheese curds at the on in Oklahoma because by the time my food got to me the cheese already melted. I have found cheese curds when I was living in Oklahoma. I made my friends some Poutine at a Christmas Party. It obviously wasn't the same but everyone these did the Obligatory " this looks disgusting but I'll try it and once the do the OMG this is so good" face.
