Has anyone does this before? Buy a high quality Grid tie inverter (the ones you plug into an AC outlet) and your metre can turn backwards ?

I bought everything for it including the panels, but I want to go through the process of getting the "Permit" the city of Calgary needs.

Has any one done this before?

The city says its now easy with no red tape "as part of the Cut Red Tape Initiative."

What about this, they said they prescreen applications:

Whenever I call 311 or Enmax or ask about your own supplied solar they just transfer me to someone to sell their Enmax panels which a UofA professor said its a scam.

Whenever I email [email protected] they do not get back to me........

If you looking to get a smart meter installed at your property you have to go through the AUC micro generation application process.
