View Full Version : Interac Etransfer system is down?! WTF

Anyone else having big problems with the eTransfer today? It's been down the whole day and I have rental payments to deposit.

Can't seem to even get a direct transfer done.

Waiting for ZenOps to tell me it's the Annon group hacking over the gov't shutting down in the US today.

I can't get any either. I was going to call Interac Wednesday AM. Kind of relieved I'm not the only one.

Tried this morning and now tonight. Nothing but errors.
Hope it's solved soon. Makes you wonder how easily someone could cripple the system.

Of your landlord agreed to e-transfers (like mine did) they can't punish you of it goes down. Besides my friend received mine today just couldn't deposit it.

Oh no, not anonymous groups hacking.

Its the US government itself. All those out of work IRS agents are looking for a second income now.

Still down for me. I can send and be sent transfers but the deposit page just hangs.

One being sent from ATB and the other from TD.

TD is still down for me. Got a few pages in on interact.ca and then error'd out.

lasimmon: I am the landlord and would like payment. If this continues, I'll be calling interact again and just going to the bank with my tenants. Just an inconvenience for all.

Just curious, were you in the middle of a transaction? Last time it happened to me, the money got sent, but also got returned to my bank account, lol.

this is pretty fucking frustrating... good think the majority of the rent i receive lately is cash.... but it bothers me when things are not how they should be :banghead:

Whew, I thought it was just me that couldnt access the Interac system. I have a potential tenant that would like to leave a deposit, but I cannot access the Interac deposit. Surprisingly, she was able to send the money on her end.

Yes, it seems like they could be sent through the bank as I have the emails stating what they sent. I just can't cash it.

I tried 8am yesterday when I got to work, no dice, phoned in and they said it'd be back up within the hour.

Noon, same thing yup it'll be fixed in an hour.

5pm, it'll be done before end of day guranteed.

Midnight, nope still not working

Thankfully this morning finally got through and sent rent.

I sent money on Monday, it came out of my account but not delivered to the recipients email. I called this morning, "I promise you we are working hard for you to get this going within an hour"

Sent another transfer this morning to someone else, came out of my account no word if it's been received yet.

I have two emails waiting for me to deposit. When i try to open them, it takes forever to bring me to the bank selection portal. Once i click the bank to be deposited in it times out. Chances are they got the email, just can't deposit.

SOOO frustrating.

I'm pretty surprised this has went on this long. Dealing with financial institutions you'd think they would have a system in place to minimize down times. This is just crazy going on 2 days.

Just goes to prove that nothing is quite like cash.

Wonga gets away with 5,853% APR to convert payday cheques to cash - because people have to use it (noone in their right mind in Britain would take a signed cheque as money in the bank anymore)

Electronic and cheques are not cash. Cash is king baby.

PC Financial's was down last night. Havent tried this morning yet.
