If you are going to buy a Ford car in the North Star Ford (Calgary Crowfoot Ford Dealership) , please go to the store and negotiate the price with them first, when it gets into the contract signing stage, use my store credit, then you can save an extra $500 dollars.

Are you aware of the facts:
You have to buy a NEW car with the dealership to use my store credit.
You only can buy the car with the North Star Ford Dealership in Crowfoot.
The $3000 store credit is non-refundable, because they will not give it back to me.
Read carefully before you sign the contract with them. Negotiate the car "Out of door" price to avoid the confusing parts.
Your car deposit and car down payment is Non-Refundable!

The AMVIC agent told me that the general manager said the $3000 store credit can be used by me, my friends or families to buy a new car.
They didn't put it on paper. But the agent said I have his words and he has filed it as a result with the case.
I am trying to contacting the manage and see if I can use it to buy a used car. One of my friends is going to buy a used car. But I haven't heard back from the dealership yet.

A few months ago, I did receive the $3000 credit on my credit card; I thought it was the refund from the North Star Ford. But it was because my report with my credit card company, they just temporary re-bill the credit to my account. And they took it away and bill it back to the dealership a few months later. Credit Card Company is not helpful to this situation.
Meanwhile, AMVIC can get me $3000 store credit towards new car purchasing. They said the dealership was not willing to refund me any money; they wanted that money in their drawer.
That is why I am selling the credit here now and wish to end this thing ASAP.

Yeah if you can pull out the credit and have the honour it after all other negotiation is complete, then it's worth something. If you have to present it up front before negotiation, it's about as much good as those $1000 discount 'cheques' you get in the mail from the dealers now and then.

I'd think if it was a true $3k store credit, you could use it on a used car or anything. Since it's new car only, I'm betting they just work it in on the deal like any other bogus discount.

AMVIC agent says: I, my friends, or my families can use the credit. But I am pushing them to put it on paper now. I can't trust that dealership anymore.
What I thought how to use the credit is:
Someone go ahead to negotiate the price of the car first, once it gets into the signing stage, call me and use my credit as $3000 cash to deduct from the total price.
But I have not confirmed it with the manager yet. I tried to contact him but I have not heard back from him yet.

I am trying to see if I can use it towards used car purchasing as well. It seems hopeless to use it for buying car body parts or for car services.
So I hope the dealership can put that $3000 store credit on paper, and allow me to use it buying used cars as well. I have a new car now; I don't think I will buy another new car any time soon. That $3000 store credit is meaningless to me for sure.

It's definately transferrable. I had a purchase go bad in the 90's on an M5 and Calgary BMW had a $1k deposit under my name that they kept. 15 years later, my friend used it on a new Mini. It's just cash credit sitting there, they can't say no even after negotiations.

I try to be diplomatic when calling people out but I agree that it's a judgement call towards the people I feel deserve it.
