The Log Barn is closed, no longer in Calgary. Where is another good place to get good pie?:D

I order from http://www.davesoriginals.com/ every now and then. Definitely not the traditional pie, but my fiance and I love them. They are damn delicious.

Avenue Magazine explored this topic: http://www.avenuecalgary.com/articles/7-best-places-to-buy-pie-in-calgary

I have not tried any of the places, so no opinion. I needed a pie last weekend, all the pie shops were closed, ended up at the local Coop bakery, bought an apple pie which was very decent, far better than Safeway pies for sure.

The Saskatoon Berry pie from Pearsons Berry Farm is very good, they have a booth at one of the Farmers Markets.

I ended up getting two pies from the farmers market, the Saskatoon pie from Pearsons farms and an apple pie from Yum bakery.

The Saskatoon pie was meh, the apple pie was pretty good.

These sound tasty, but are PRICEY. Worth the money?

That's up to you. To me this is no more expensive than a bespoke cake :)

And they are DELICIOUS.

Best pie to my knowledge and is not around anymore was surprisingly at Village Cantina in Inglewood. A lady used to make killer pies there for the restaurant daily. It's now Salt and Pepper and I don't know what happened to the original pie maker.

Pie fix is farmer's market or pies plus in avenida. There was one on 16th ave by north hill mall called Log barn. I always drove by but never tried it.

Maybe someone can chime in?
