Checking on my girlfriends apartment while she's out of town. I have her parking pass at the moment, just in case in the short periods of time I'm there the CPA comes through.
I received a "Parking Infraction Notice" from a company I've never heard of called Target Park Enforcement INC. The reason for the ticket states "Please park in undergound only. Parked in customer area." Fine amount $65.00
Issues with that: This wasn't a customer area, no signs indicate such, and I even checked with the buildings rental office staff who confirmed this for me. My truck also doesn't fit in the underground parking area, it only has a 6 foot clearance. I noticed all other vehicles around me had similar notices on their wipers as well.
My question isn't whether or not I should pay the ticket, I'm definitely not. I'm just curious how these sham companies stay in business? They don't even have a dispute email or phone # on the notice. This is almost shadier than ezcarsandtrucks.com. How do these crooks stay in business?
