Frozen brakes? Not sure?
Have a looks arround all the wheel, make sure there isn't anything left in there.
You could try placing it in neutral, and make sure the car can move.

So I swapped on my winter tires last night, and this morning when I went to back out of the garage the car refuses to move.

Forward, reverse, it doesn't matter... it just makes a bit of engine noise and doesn't go anywhere. I fiddled with the e-brake, also lifted the car up and tried to move the tires manually.... none of them will budge.

Any ideas? It is an Audi with just under 8000kms on it

Well if it was the parking brake then you would still be able to turn the front wheels....

Maybe wrong size wheels binding on something?

Did you press DOWN on the ebrake button to release it?

That car is too pretty for weather like this. At least one of you realizes it.

Did you use the same rims as last year?
Sounds like the rims are not clearing the calipers..If not it maybe your rim size, too small and they will bind on the caliper not spinning. Check to see your clearence on the calipers.

I thought you are invincible lol.

My car shuddered a bit when I started it this morning. I could almost hear it saying "WTF, it's cold."

Heated garage? If there's moisture on the brake rotors it can freeze and lock your wheels when it gets cold.

Is this the first time with these winter tires/rims on this car? Could be the size isn't right and its rubbing something and won't turn.

You know you can't fit 35's on an Audi, right?

Try putting your old tires / wheels back on?

Doubt it is anything actually frozen - heated garage or not.

As others have asked - have you put these wheels on the car before? Maybe they're binding on the strut tower or something...

Took me an hour, but turns out the studs for my summer tires are longer than the studs for my winter tires. Once I replaced all the studs it moved again. I am pretty worried about what kind of damage I may have done to the hubs though.

One of my friends busted a speed sensor doing that on his Golf

Well at least you didn't try and force the car anywhere.

I wouldn't be worried about the hubs themselves, but some vehicles have ABS sensors behind the hubs that can be damaged by a bolt that's too long.

The winter tires are studded, so I can’t even tell if the hubs are rotating smoothly with the increased road noise from them

I guess I will throw it up on jacks tonight and check for play and free rotation, feeling a little sick to the stomach about how much 4 new hubs would cost. I would not worry about the hubs in the least bit, as the cv axle shaft and nut will hold the bearing in place.

I would just pull the wheel off again and check for where the studs where making contact and binding. I think you'll be ok.
