Wow they are really milking this franchise...

Hollywood is milking all the superheroes. I'm getting a bit tired of people flying across the screen.

I like the first class, I found it way better than the previous 3. Both good mystique but JL is younger. ;)

Looks shitty, will have to wait and see. Never liked the original X-Men movies as they're a bit corny.

Looks ok....

I don't get why they all ways put: From the Director of " Some Movie from 20 years ago "

The Sun is really bad for that... James Cameron (Titanic)... like he hasn't done a movie in the last 10 years! :nut:
It's like they still think people don't have the internet and can't look up what they've done already!!! :banghead:

That's my rant for the day!

When you have 50 years of material to draw from, and a solid fan base, why not? At least X Men isn't as bad as most franchises.

Because that last 2 Bryan Singer big budget movies are:

Jack the Giant Slayers
Superman Returns

One is box office bomb, the other almost killed the franchise.

As an avid comic book reader growing up, of both Wolverine and X-Men, nothing from that trailer or the last Wolverine movie entices or intrigues me.

Is this the watered down, overdone, Disney-fication of Marvel content doing this? Or at 33, have I finally outgrown comic books?

LOL I was living in Transformers when Devastor was made and so pint sized and easily destroyed.

If they're smaller than 2 stories, they're not Sentinels. Betcha if they are in this movie, it'll be a lame out of the X-Men fighting them for 30 seconds, and then travelling back in time to prevent them from being created. Or something equally stupid.

Since it shows Storm and there was a bit of a outrage of most of her scenes got cut, wonder if that's a last minute change to give her some more time.

Missed this comment the 1st time. I doubt the future X-Men other than Logan and Xavier will get more than 15mins of screen time just to set the story in motion. Otherwise, it'll get too bloody expensive.

The cgi usually isn't done when the trailers come out, watch the two Guardians of the Galaxy trailers and you'll notice some huge differences in just the first scene.

And here is the most fucking annoying thing about the Marvel franchise being divided up between multiple studios:

Avengers: Age of Ultron (filming)
Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver
Aaron Taylor-Johnson

X-Men: Days of Future Past (post-production)
Pietro Maximoff / Quicksilver
Evan Peters

Wouldn't continuity be nice so they could do other stories where the entire universe is involved? (House of M, Secret Wars, Civil War etc)

Regardless, this last trailer looks much better than the other ones :)

Batman is now on 3rd or 4th reboot (depends how far you go back)
Superman is on 2nd reboot.

I stayed until after the names where most teasers are shown. Then the theatre turned all the lights on and I assumed there was no teaser :/

If they were to face off head to head, without The Avengers or The X-Men getting in the way, it would be a pretty even fight. Unless Thanos had the infinity gauntlet with all 6 gems slotted, in which case Apocalypse would be dead with a flick of Thanos' finger

One of the few times I have watched a film and afterwards was left in awe. They managed to fix all the stupid shit that went down in X3... I am curious now a to how the series will progress now.

Its worth seeing for Quicksilver alone. The Avengers has a problem now as Quicksilver was so damn awesome that the "other" Quicksilver has a lot to live up to.

How does quicksilver play into the Age of Ultron/Thanos storyline? Is Quicksilver/Scarlet a major part of Avengers?

Yes they are a major part of Avengers actually when they were fighting Ultron.

I just saw the movie yesterday and I would, it was awesome. Even my wife who doesn't really say the word "awesome" about Marvel movies said it last night. :)

Wasn't bad at all. First class did a good job renewing my faith in the X-men franchise, this solidified it.

Going to miss Fassbender as Magneto though (can't imagine many more story lines they'll need him in)

X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
In December 2013, director Bryan Singer announced on Twitter that X-Men: Apocalypse will come out in 2016.[39] According to Singer, the film will focus on the origins of the mutant species,[40] will be "more of a First Class sequel",[41] and it will take place in the 1980s.[42] Kinberg, Dan Harris and Michael Dougherty are working on the film along with Singer.[43] McAvoy, Fassbender, Hoult, Lawrence, Jackman and Peters will reprise their roles,[44][45][46][47] and Channing Tatum will appear as Gambit.[48][49] The film is scheduled to be released on May 27, 2016.[39] and the younger versions of Cyclops, Jean Grey and Storm will also appear.[50]

No? Most of the comics are set in "current day" (so Patrick Stewart & Ian McKellen as Prof X / Magneto)

Besides, if it is, why are you in this thread before seeing the movie? ;)

To be fair though, any worthwhile review will be discussing the movie which will naturally contain spoilers.

For a basic review though... The movie was good and I recommend watching it. Although it doesn't exactly follow the comic, the movie was put together very well considering everything was condensed into 2 hours.

The movie doesn't have a ton of action, but for what action scenes it had, they were done well.

There will be things where you'll scratch your head at, but I don't think it'll make you regret watching it.
