Sad part is a buddy of mine had a 12 sec beetle (same year) for way less money. The even sadder part? It's still a beetle.

the 1.8T APR stage 4, outside of the exhaust note, would make it a sleeper

I don't see an issue with the Beetle, or the modern one. They're built on a solid chasis with great drivetrain

That's actually pretty cool, unique for sure. I personally wouldn't drop $70k on a vw bug, but i'd sure as fuck love to drive the shit out of it :D
