Just had the guys at Kal Tire on Heritage Drive near Deerfoot Meadows thrown on some of these puppies:

Haven't been able to hit much snow yet but I was driving around on what looked like black ice last night.

The ride quality has improved substantially over the stock Eagle F1's my car came with (Focus ST), virtually no vibration can be felt in the steering wheel/in the cabin.

Road noise... it's GONE! I literally can't begin to emphasize how quiet it is in my car compared to the stock summer performance tires.

I'm a lover of all things made in finland (IKEA furniture, Nokia Phones...) and these babies definitely stand up to the reputation!

Some Swedes are going to be super pissed at you  or maybe grateful as I heard they hate being tied to the DIY furniture.

They definitely have factories in Russia but iirc the ones we have sold in North America are made under contract at a Bridgestone plant in Tennessee.

Hakkapeliittas (7s) are thee absolute best winter tire you can buy, hands down.

Little trivia

"Nokian" is finnish for The Journey", and "Hakkapeliita" is an old military group/moral term that the finnish warriors would yell going into battle, which translate into "roll over anything", or "Cut Them Down"

Huh. My accountant had Hakkapeliittas on his SUV and hated them. Called them the worst winter tire he ever had. Actually ditched them after the first season.

I am JUST about to purchase these. I'm really hoping that they're as good as everyone says....

I just drove to Vancouver and back (9 hours both ways).

Absolutely amazing tires, the ability of these tires to grip icey tarmac defies the laws of physics. I found myself wanting to test them on a winter test track because otherwise there is no way I could safely find the limits of these tires on snow/ice.

Heavy heavy heavy rain in Vancouver, I was cruising down the highway on my way in and got first hand experience of how these things cut through standing water (they did very very well). I barely had to adjust the steering even though the water pressure sounded like it wanted to tear my rally armor mud flaps off.
