we were just chilln watchn the game, havn a bud
when we drove by the heritage market on blackfoot, and we see this pimpn yellow car, so we casually stroll over , and figure out that its a jdm race car. we then notice the spoon decals, and we get out of the car and this doood asks what we are doing drooling over this compact. he then starts her up , and opens the hood. she sounds GODLY. i think im in love. below are a bunch of pictures that we snagged during our drool fest.

Is that a stock airbox? I would've thought that would be one of the first things to go...

I hope we see that at Race City this year!

i doubt it we'll see it for a long time gents. its a jdm therefor it has to wait like 15 years before it can race in canada. the guy said it was just there for storage over night and then its headin down to chicago to race.:(

Thats so sweet...I love how purpose built race cars are just that...No extra frills, bolts, fastners items are installed unless needed...

Depending on class entered you cant play with a lot of things like brakes, intake, throttle body and port work...

That car was absolutely mind blowing. It was really loud, and had a very distinct sound. The Bride seats were very comfortable, and the Takata harnesses were pimp. Here's me and the car...

Idratherbsidewayz
02-25-2004, 05:32 PM
Yea from what i understand, the car had been raced previously in BC. It is now being shipped over to chicago for further racing, and maybe even daily driving :bigpimp: (not on those slicks though). It only stayed one night in calgary at Heritage Market. We were reaaallly lucky to see it...

The fact thats it's an imported car newer than 15years old, the removal of the airbag steering wheel and no odometer or even stock gauge cluster for that matter, I think thats it:)

02-26-2004, 12:36 PM
yeah man that car is pimp, but if you goto Vancouver and stop by at aj-racing you will see a whole lot more. when i was there i saw the Spoon S2000 that was amazing.:D

the car raced in the SCCBC league and at the vancouve molson indy

I don't think this car was sold for that much, if i remember correctly it was for like $2x,xxx USD.

that is one of the AJ racing type r!!!!! it was sold late last year, they posted that it was for sale on their site. In fact t is probably still on the aj racing website. It is definately a track car, but is licenced in canada, so I don't know why people keep bringing up that 15 rule.

Idratherbsidewayz
02-27-2004, 06:03 PM
Everyone was stating the 15 rule because they thought this car was driven on the street. Redlyne you missed the fact that it has slicks on...

Ha, obliviously someone doesn't know that in a FWD car with front mounted motor, has like 60+% of the weight is on the front axel therefore why would you want to have exessivly large rotors on the rear??ever heard of rotating mass and it's effects on acceleration???? Out east a guy has two Williams Renualt Leguna's from the BTCC up front 13.1''12 piston AP's in the rear 8'' two piston ap's!!!!! Also under the production 2 rules you are only legal to run stock sized rotors!!!

Yeah Anthony has always had some good stuff huh!!!
