I am curious if it is possible to ever re-inspect a water damaged vehicle that has been flagged from insurance?

Could they be taken down to the USA to be inspected and registered there? or possible to get a government assigned vin?

I would like to keep this thread on topic as much as possible and please avoid posting opinions.

It is not legal to repair or re-insure a flood damaged vehicle in Canada. There isn't anyway around it once they are declared non-repairable in the registry system.

As for taking it to the states to register I don't know how that would work.

Some info here for you:

may or may not help you, but does go into branding and such.

What are you planning? Make a few bucks off all the flood damaged cars here?

I have my eye on a car that would be for personal use. Wouldn't be interested in re-selling unless I ever got bored of it.

Would be nice to register and insure in the US and keep the car here
