When I first saw this I was a little Iffy, now Iam thinking the E70 is looking a little dated.....Thoughts

I ordered one in Mineral White should have it in a few weeks

Did they finally heat up the M steering wheel??

Gauges still boring as shit. BMW trademark I guess :dunno:

Stitching contract is nice to see, looks like a lot of suede in the car as well.
Expected a bit more of an interior jump. Like previous front grill on the M more as well.

Hopefully it drives like a beauty to make up

Any predictions on reliability for the new X5,or is it likely too early?

I've heard the current and prior X5s have been dreadful in that regard.

I love the looks of them though.

Not a real fan of the dash design. At ALL. The rest of the interior is good.

Overall, it's a nice looking auto. I bet it drives well!

Are you confusing reliability with resale? ;)

Ahhh, the protections of leasing!

Almost 70K on a 2012 X5 5.0 M kg, nothing but regular service appointments.... :dunno:

Great looking vehicle and definitely a step-up from the previous generation

4 years Ultimate factory warranty pretty much covers everything except consumables

X5 and many other BMW's are as reliable as any manufacturer given you maintain it well (though there would be Recalls you have to put up with)

Like everything about the new car over the old one except for the front end where IMO it's just got too many design elements... kind of over-designed... where a cleaner look would suffice.

Agreed about the front end. Needs to be more aggressive and less chrome. I would buy one though... haha... Black / Red / or Blue.

Why are there so many vents on the sides... :dunno:

You don't like the 'drive-in' theater look that they've got going on there?

Yes, finally the steering wheel is heated on M Sport models. On the E70, it was heated on non M Sport models and the X5M/X6M only.

Like it - what is your interior choice? I think I remember you saying that you went with brown which is going to liven it up a bit.

When we looked at '12 X5M it didn't have a heated steering wheel...? It was the M sport wheel without

It's the same engine and transmission since 2011, the 35i's and D's have been really reliable. The 50i's are hit and miss but that's improved in the 13s and up.

I like it, mocha interior makes it almost perfect... it just needs more diesel.

Great looking car. Dimples will grow on me, but not sure about the side vents that are showing up on so many cars nowadays.

Long gone? I didn't think it had been that long since I'd seen you checking out your new digs in it... What did you replace it with? I figured the blue XFRS I've been seeing around might be you...

Congrats on the new X5! Mineral on Mocha should be awesome!

No more Jags for me, Wanted a change...Went with a 13 750i. I feel very grown up and business-man-like in this car. Love the refinement.

And yes Max, as much as I would love an X5M, this will be ,for my wife I did go with the 50i over the 35i so at least when I drive it, it will feel like a "mans car"

Here is the 750 with the summers on

Started with the F10, the new BMW interior is light years better than the previous models.
