No I have no affiliation with them whatsoever. It's one of my favorite places and just so happened I called them today and someone actually answered.

Décor is so much nicer now in the seating area. Same with the washrooms.

BTW, is this place really haunted? Heard that rumor a few times...

Just cause it smells like someone died in there doesn't mean it's haunted.

Tell me these stories of the "hauntings". I've heard but never heard why or the stories.

And yeah, glad they re-opened:thumbsup:

Prices have easily gone up $1-3 across the board.

Those benches aren't as soft as you think they are...

Downstairs is definitely haunted. I haven't been downstairs since the late 80's maybe early 90's when the chinese restaurant at the time had 4-6 tables downstairs and a cigarette vending machine.

Washrooms were always super creepy. Lots of unexplained noises and it always sounded like there was someone else in the washroom when I was in there alone. It's the only place I've felt the presence of something/someone. Super scary just thinking about it.

lol o'rly?

Thing I didn't like about that place was the consistency of the quality and the service.

Even though its the same owners as t pot and Pebble Street, I think they've put far less effort in maintaining its quality being that its goodwill is established

I remember that cigarette machine too, I recall they had stores spare round table tops and chairs downstairs, my brother and I used to play on them, I remember it being very dingy but nothing out of the ordinary to make it seem haunted.

Funny thing is I went to high school with the son of the owners of all those restaurants, I could ask him what he thinks of all these stories you guys are saying about the basement lol

I remember before it became calgary court too, and the restaurant had tables downstairs. I had heard it was haunted. It heard the stories, just that it was. The can was always sketchy and gave me an u easy feeling. It then maybe it was because it was the typical dirty chinese can. :dunno:

I usually have my morning #2 in the washroom there at 8:00am before it was reno'd and I never heard any sounds or anything. just old and dirty.

But, story is that a woman died or committed suicide in the womans washroom.

Anyways.
I went on opening day and I've never been so disappointed in my life.
The Dinner Special was totally fucked up.

I'm a huge fan of Calgary Court, but I don't like how they have made the new menu so small; its the same menu as T-pot HK cafe.
no longer are there like 5 different Tomato Baked rices :(
its either A or B now

I'll give them a few weeks before I start going regular again.

I hate that, when CC bathroom buddies bail. Worst are the buddies that turn the lights off on you there.

I usually sneak around the corner where that Church parking entrance way it if it's just #1... for #2, I would drive to Elbow casino if Chinatown is shut down at night, during the day I'd run around to Silver dragon.

Never heard anything but it feels unusually chilled down there.

Do they serve a HK style breakfast? Always wanted to try it in the morning.

A long time ago, me and my friend were in the washrooms and while he was using the toilet, I was holding the door open with my foot with a shovel pointed at the open door (it was winter). While I turned my head to talk to my friend, my other friend (who is a girl) stood in front of the open door and when I looked back at the door, I screamed my ass off. The story we heard was about a girl dying in there too

I remember reading on one of the paranormal sites for Calgary that it was all just urban legend type stuff about Calgary Court.

However Rouge is suppose to be haunted and they had an episode on Creepy Canada.

After having been there twice already since it re-opened, food portions are smaller and prices gone up.

It used to be called Regal. Loved that place. It was the pre-cursor to Regency, I think.
