Just happened today, water is driping on one of the inside wall in my developed basement. Check every room upstairs, dont see a visable leak, is there a beyond trusted plumber or can someone recommand one? Or is it not an issue for plumber?

Thanks in advance for any useful info

I had water dripping once, from the fiberboard ceiling tile of my basement ceiling. This was a 50+ bungalow with a 50 year old basement suite. There were no water pipes anywhere near where the leak was.

Turns out it was water coming in from a leaking roof vent, running down one of the 2 x 4 angled beams, traveling to a vertical 2 x 4, running down inside the wall of the main floor suite, and coming out on to the arm of the couch in the basement. Tiny little drips, hardly noticeable.

Weird how water can travel like that. It was diagnosed by climbing into the attic armed with a strong flashlight.

Good luck hope you find the leak!
